Amirul HafidzAmri Yahyah's story is definitely worth retelling.
Scored the winning goal for Selangor in Malaysia Cup (was it in 2005?), received his first call-up to the national team but broke his leg in a road accident, slowly recovered, regained his first-team place in Selangor, being made the team captain, being called up to don the national jersey again, scored a double against arguably the biggest club in the world, and remains proud of his root and his hometown of Tanjong Karang while doing all that.
If that doesn't make you go 'wow', I don't know what else does.
